CBS Studios has announced some initial casting for their upcoming animated take on hit video game, “Among Us.” We have to say, some of these choices are NOT ‘sus. Randall Park (“Always Be My Maybe,” Marvel Studios films), Yvette Nicole Brown (“Community”), Ashley Johnson (“The Last of Us” video game series), and Elijah Wood (“The Lord of the Rings” trilogy) will lead the cast as the iconic spacesuit-wearing colors. Owen Dennis created the series, and will serve as executive producer. Titmouse (“Big Mouth,” “Star Trek: Lower Decks”) will handle the animation. Randall Park will voice Red, Captain of The Skeld.…

FX’s hit series “The Bear” is definitely a priority for the cabler/streamer. After winning top prizes at pretty much every single awards show this year, a season 4 renewal isn’t super surprising. What *is* surprising is how quietly it was done. No fanfare, no graphics or videos, not really anything to mark the occasion. Come to think of it…FX hasn’t actually confirmed the renewal news, yet. The majority of sources on this are from the Chicago area, where the show is currently filming. It’s hard to guess what season 4 may be about, but it’s being mentioned that season 3…
Yes, we are almost to St. Patrick’s Day, and that means lots of green beer and and all that nonsense is well and truly upon us. What about though, that very important dark and delicious export from the Emerald Isle? No, not the amber nectar of the Gods, whisky. The one that even Jason Momoa is obsessed with- Guinness. The beer brand has quite a history, one that “Peaky Blinders” creator Steven Knight will delve into with a new series for Netflix; “House of Guinness.” “The Guinness dynasty is known the world over – wealth, poverty, power, influence, and great…
We have some BIG big news! AMC has reportedly picked up the 4th season of the former TNT series “Snowpiercer!” The first three seasons of the show will hit AMC+ streaming service later this year, with season 4 due to bow in early 2025. “We’re so thrilled the train has finally found a home, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone at AMC and Tomorrow Studios for giving the fans of Snowpiercer a chance to enjoy season four with all the hard work this amazing cast and crew put into it,” showrunner Paul Zbyszewski said. The series originally was developed for TNN before TNT picked…
This is what, the fourth time we’ve heard Patty Jenkins’ (“Wonder Woman”) “Star Wars” film is back in some form of development? It’s like either someone at Lucasfilm/Disney doesn’t know what to do with it, or, maybe, some parts of the greater press media don’t want it to happen. Sure, we were disappointed by “Wonder Woman 1984.” Even moreso when it was revealed Jenkins pretty much had autonomy from Warner Bros. Pictures to do whatever she wanted with it. But the result was…that film, that we still can’t bring ourselves to watch again. But, what if she got to play…
*sigh* Remember that thing about how we aren’t as excited about this reboot of James O’Barr’s “The Crow” as we were when it was first announced? Yeah, we’re still kind of feeling that, but we will say some of the visuals in the first trailer are at least interesting. Director Rupert Sanders says he used more inspiration from his own life than from O’Barr’s original graphic novel, or the 1994 film starring Brandon Lee. This 2024 version stars Bill Skarsgård as Eric Draven / The Crow, and FKA Twigs as Shelly. “Soulmates Eric Draven (Bill Skarsgård) and Shelly Webster (FKA twigs) are brutally murdered when…
NEWS FROM THE OASIS- This past weekend was the 96th Annual Academy Awards. And, as often happens, the real deals and news comes from the parties surrounding the Oscars. Like this VERY EXCITING tidbit of news, especially if you’re a fan of “Ready Player One.”While I personally have a love-hate-hate-anger-love relationship with the 2018 film, I am definitely interested in a sequel. Author Ernie Cline published his sequel novel in 2020 to mixed reception. Character turns and some pretty big surprises in the tome lead to…lets just say….concern. ANYHOW. The movie version did extremely well for Warner Bros. Pictures, and…
We are just as surprised as you are. After MUCH back and forth between original “Scream” star Neve Campbell and the director/producers on “Scream 6,” we have some pretty big news. Despite vowing to not appear in the film due to a low-ball offer, Campbell will reportedly star in the next installment, “Scream 7.”That production has seen it’s fair share of trouble, with several stars exiting. Actress Melissa Barrera was fired from “Scream 7” back in November 2023, and Jenna Ortega (“Wednesday”) left about a week later. The news of Campbell’s addition to the cast came from the actress herself on her Instagram…
This just in-some release date shakeups are happening over at Warner Bros. Pictures. Matt Reeves’ “The Batman” sequel had been set for an October 3rd, 2025 bow, but that’s changed. Apparently “The Batman 2” is getting pushed an entire year, and will now theoretically released on October 6th, 2026. Thats….a sizable delay. Sources indicate it has to do with both the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes from last year. Perhaps the most interesting thing is we’ll be getting Reeves’ Capped Crusader (Robert Pattinson) along with Andy Muschietti’s (“The Flash”) upcoming film, “Batman: Brave and the Bold.” That flick is officially part…
We’re less than 10 days out from seeing what Disney+ animated series “X-Men ’97” has in store. Taking its cues from the ending of the still-awesome “X-Men: The Animated Series,” Professor X has left Earth to travel the galaxy with Shi’Ar Empress Lilandra, searching for a cure for his terminal illness. In “X-Men ’97,” Storm and Wolverine try to continue the X-Men. Magneto comes in and wants to step up for Charles Xavier. Mr. Sinister comes in to try to end the X-Men once and for all. Voice Cast Some of the original “X-Men” voice cast are back as their…
