If you’re anything like me, you’re already running out of space on your display shelf for themed nerdy mugs. Considering just how many fandoms Beeline Creative’s Geeki Tikis line covers, I’m surprised I don’t have MORE, honestly. This brings us to 2024’s special releases for the unofficial “Star Wars” holiday, May the 4th. PRINCESS LEIA MUG The ongoing joke in my house is that I’m not allowed to get more mugs UNLESS a new Princess Leia comes out. Because OF COURSE I’m going to get that. While we don’t have a lot of information, we do know that Mattel’s upcoming live-action “Masters of the Universe” film has a release date. Amazon MGM has dated it for summer of 2026. There also isn’t like…you know…a cast yet. BUT, we do know Travis Knight (“Bumblebee”) will be helming, from a script by “Kubo and the Two Strings” writer Chris Butler. An early logline for the film reads:“10-year-old Prince Adam who crashed to Earth in a spaceship and was separated from his magical Power Sword—the only link to his home on Eternia. After tracking it down almost two decades…
Greetings, programs! We are DELIGHTED to share the news that Flynn Lives! Jeff Bridges will be returning for the third “Tron” film, which is currently in production. “I’m heading off this Saturday to play a part in the third installment of the ‘Tron’ story,” Bridges said. “Jared Leto is the star of this third one. I’m really anxious to work with him. I’ve admired his work.” “I didn’t like the way I looked in it,” Bridges said. “I felt like I looked more like Bill Maher than myself. It was kind of bizarre.” He also said “there’s going to be even…
We’ll be the first to admit we kind of forgot this film was happening. But Disney has released the first teaser for their upcoming film “Mufasa: The Lion King.” In it, Rafiki relays the legend of Mufasa to young lion cub Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, with Timon and Pumbaa. Told in flashbacks, the story introduces Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone until he meets a sympathetic lion named Taka—the heir to a royal bloodline. The chance meeting sets in motion an expansive journey of an extraordinary group of misfits searching for their destiny—their bonds will be…

This just in-that long-gestating film based on Disneyland’s iconic Space Mountain attraction is finally ready to launch. Okay, well, it at least has new writers now. According to the usual suspects, “Cowboy Bebop” showrunners Josh Appelbaum and André Nemec will pen the script. Originally, Joby Harold (“Obi-Wan Kenobi”) was set to write the film, but that has changed. The project was first announced back in 2020. The fan-favorite (at least in my household) ride first opened at Disneyland on January 15th, 1975. This story is developing…
If you haven’t been watching “X-Men: ’97” on Disney+, you are MISSING OUT. This reimagined-yet-throwback series has been all the talk the last few weeks. Reuniting some of the voice actors from the original “X-Men: The Animated Series” with some new voices, the storytelling has been pretty amazing. Sideshow Collectibles is capitalizing on this resurgence of all things animated X-Men, and has announced a brand new Rogue and Gambit statue. “In a moment of tenderness amid some usual X-Men chaos, Anna Marie shares a kiss with Remy LeBeau via one of his playing cards. Sideshow presents the Rogue and Gambit…
News from the Continent- sounds like Netflix has given the greenlight for a 5th and final season of “The Witcher.” Season 5 will reportedly film back to back with season 4, which just had it’s first table read this week! The goal is to adapt the remaining Andrzej Sapkowski books- “Baptism of Fire,” “The Tower of the Swallow,” and “Lady of the Lake.” “It is with huge pride that we begin shooting our penultimate season of The Witcher with a stellar cast, including some exciting new additions, led by Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia,” showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich said.…
An upcoming big budget studio film has officially launched a trailer from space. We’re kind of surprised it’s taken this long, honestly. And more surprised it wasn’t one of the “Fast and Furious,” “Star Trek,” or Tom Cruise movies to do it. Instead, it’s Paramount Pictures’ upcoming “TRANSFORMERS ONE!” The trailer is introduced by Chris Hemsworth (“Thor”) as Optimus Prime, and Brian Tyree Henry as Megatron. We also get our first look/listen at Scarlett Johansson as Elita-1, and Keegan-Michael Key as B-127. Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Hamm (“Good Omens”) also star. “TRANSFORMERS ONE” is set to hit theaters…
This just in- Apple TV+ has renewed one of our absolute favorite shows for a 5th season! We’ve been talking about “For All Mankind” for a long, long time, and we are DELIGHTED to see it get another season. A spinoff has also been ordered, called “Star City,” which will tell the same story, but from the Iron Curtain prospective during the first days of the space race to the moon. It will “explore the story from behind the Iron Curtain, showing the lives of the cosmonauts, the engineers, and the intelligence officers embedded among them in the Soviet space…
