We are SO excited for Marvel Studios’ upcoming film “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.” Welcoming the First Family of Marvel Comics into the MCU is something we didn’t think would happen. Especially with a cast this good! This morning, Marvel Studios released a special (but short) “fantastic first look” behind the scenes featurette. It really highlights the incredible art direction and retrofuturism elements that lend so well to this story. Pedro Pascal (“The Last of Us“) plays Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby (“The Crown,” “Mission: Impossible“) is Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn (“Stranger Things,” “Gladiator II“) is Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (“The Bear“) is Ben Grimm/The…

Apple TV+ has formally announced their live-action “Neuromancer” series is in production. [Spoiler: WE. KNOW.] Perhaps one of the most anticipated upcoming series, this 10-episode drama takes its cues from William Gibson’s “The Sprawl” trilogy of novels; “Neuromancer,” “Count Zero,” and “Mona Lisa Overdrive.” Gibson’s earlier story “Burning Chrome” really introduced cyberspace in 1981, “Neuromancer” is often credited as one of THE works of early cyberpunk culture. July 1st is actually the anniversary of the book being published in 1984. Pretty perfect then that we get our very first look at the Chatsubo Bar. Aka The Chat, its a nighttime hub…
This just in-it sounds like our friend David Dastmalchian (“Dune Part One,” “Murderbot,” “Late Night with the Devil”) will play a legendary villain in the upcoming “Street Fighter” live-action film, M. Bison! The adaptation of the legendary Capcom fighting game series was originally supposed to hit theaters in early 2026 until Sony scrubbed it from its release slate. It made sense considering the film was changing directors and hadn’t even announced anyone in the cast. M. Bison is the head of the Shadaloo criminal organization. Callina Liang will play Chun-Li, Jason Momoa will play Blanka, Roman Reigns will play Akuma, Noah Centineo will play…
Filmmaker Edgar Wright is embarking on a new project. One we’re pretty excited for, not gonna lie. A remake of the 1987 sci-fi dystopian classic, “The Running Man,” which in turn was based on the Stephen King aka Richard Bachman 1982 novel. Glen Powell (“Hit Man,” “Top Gun: Maverick“) stars as Ben Richards, the role originally played by Arnold Schwarzenegger. The story is all about a government-backed game show where Richards and other contestants had to fight to win, survive, and live. In a near-future society, The Running Man is the top-rated show on television—a deadly competition where contestants, known as Runners, must survive 30 days while…

The first teaser for the upcoming sequel “The Devil Wears Prada 2” has released! Technically, it’s more of a production start notice than an actual teaser, but seeing the iconic pitchfork heel again is exciting. Fairly timely, too, as longstanding Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour has stepped down from overseeing the American branch of the fashion magazine. Original screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna is penning the script.Original stars Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci are returning. Kenneth Branagh has been cast as Miranda’s (Streep’s) husband. “The Devil Wears Prada 2” is currently set to hit theaters May 1st, 2026.
If you are a fan of Andy Weir‘s amazing book “The Martian,” chances are you’ve also read his two followup novels- “Artemis,” and “Project Hail Mary.” The latter of those is actually getting a feature film adaptation from Christopher Miller and Phil Lord (“The LEGO Movie,” “Spider-Verse“), which will star Ryan Gosling! The first trailer for the film hit this morning, and we are so excited!! Without getting into any kind of spoiler territory, Gosling will play Ryland Grace, a middleschool teacher-turned-astronaut who is on a mission to save Earth. He is pretty much humanity’s last ditch hope- a Hail Mary play, if you will. He is…
This just in-after what feels like an eternity in development hell, the live-action “Akira” movie is once again not happening.Warner Bros. Pictures has reportedly “given up” rights to the property. The rights have reverted back to Kodansha, publishers of the original manga the landmark anime was based on. When Disney announced a third film in the “Tron” franchise, we sat fully forward in our chairs. Think the Vince McMahon getting excited meme. With each new reveal for “Tron: Ares” – the creative team, casting (minus Jared Leto)- the impending thrill progressed. Everything peaked when Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross of industrial pioneers Nine Inch Nails were confirmed to be handling the score. “It’s different [from the previous Tron scores], and in places, perhaps takes a bigger swing for what music can do in cinema,” Ross told Empire Magazine in their upcoming “Tron: Ares” issue. “Without sounding fucking pompous. I mean,…
