41 years after the fact, we’re getting a sequel to probably the greatest music film ever made, Rob Reiner’s “This is Spinal Tap.” A mockumentary centering on Britain’s loudest band Spinal Tap, the original film starred Harry Shearer, Michael McKean, and Christopher Guest as Derek Smalls (bass), Nigel Tufnel (guitar), and David St. Hubbins (vocals). This is probably the film we’ve been most looking forward to in 2025, with the return of the main cast, and Reiner in the director’s chair. (As well as playing mockumentarian Marty DeBergi.)A new music video for Spinal Tap’s biggest hit song “Stonehenge” was released…

We are delighted to share this…okay, yes, VERY short tease from Amazon Prime Video’s “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.” The series, which takes it’s cues from the world of J. R. R. Tolkien’s masterful works, has announced production start on season 3. [This is somewhat silly, because arguably, ‘production’ has been…ongoing? What is most likely is is confirmation of cameras rolling.]BUT, the exciting thing here is the tease of a certain crown! “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” seasons 1 and 2 are currently streaming on Prime Video. Season 3, obviously, is a…
We’re probably not alone in feeling this is one of those PERFECT pairings of creativity and character. General Mills has teamed up their iconic Monsters cereal mascots with the legendary Jim Henson Company for an adorable campaign. If you didn’t know it, the Jim Henson Company is celebrating their 70th anniversary this year. Count Chocula, Boo Berry, and Franken Berry have all been created in Muppet form! And yes, the trio will be back for Spooky Season in cereal form starting in August. You’ll also be able to find a fleece-like Franken Berry box exclusively on Walmart.com beginning Tuesday, October…
When Guillermo del Toro announced he was FINALLY going to do his adaptation of Frankenstein, we were immediately interested. Knowing GdT’s love for the source material, as well as the iconic imagery of artist Bernie Wrightson’s take on the story, there’s no way this won’t be a visual and haunting spectacle. This morning, Vanity Fair released a slew of images from their visit to the absolutely INCREDIBLE set, as well as some first looks at the cast in full hair and makeup. And let’s just take a minute to applaud production designer Tamara Deverell’s work in these photos by Ken Woroner.…

When the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art was first announced, we were excited. Considering what a student of film and art history the institution’s namesake and co-founder George Lucas is, the possibilities for exhibits are endless. Watching the building take shape in Los Angles has been equally exciting, especially with it’s close proximity to the new home of the space shuttle Endeavor. AND THEN, the Museum announced Lucas himself would be present at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) to join a panel alongside Oscar winners Guillermo del Toro and Doug Chiang, moderated by Queen Latifah. This is a big…
Series stars Nick E. Tarabay and Tenika Davis were on hand at SDCC to introduce the first panel for the upcoming reboot of “Spartacus.” Original series star Liam McIntyre moderated the panel. Original series creator Steven S. DeKnight is returning as showrunner. He executive produces with Rick Jacobson and Aaron Helbing. The cast also includes Graham McTavish, Jamaica Vaughan, Ivana Baquero, Jordi Webber, Claudia Black, Jaime Slater, India Shaw-Smith, and Leigh Gill. And, STARZ has just released an official full panel video if you’d like to see what went down this year.
Here we are, again, in Hall H. This time, for a project near and dear to our hearts. Andy Weir, author of “The Martian,” has another space story, and it’s getting adapted by Chris Miller and Phil Lord. “Project Hail Mary” stars Ryan Gosling, and judging by how many times the first trailer was viewed, you’re just as excited as we are for it. We’ll be updating live during the panel, so check back! Gosling is overwhelmed with the audience response. Weir, who has never been in Hall H before, is equally in awe. The audience is being shown the…
Here we are, back again at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) for another installment of Live from Hall H. Today’s adventure takes us to SPACE, the final frontier. Those immortal words herald the beginning of “Star Trek,” which is still going strong 58 years later. Paramount+, now the streaming home of all things in the Gene Roddenberry-created universe, hosted a panel in Hall H on Saturday, July 26th. We’re expecting additional news (and probably a trailer!) for the next series in the franchise, “Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.” If you missed it, a gallery of images for the upcoming show hit yesterday.…
