We have some exciting news from The Grid and the world of Disney’s “Tron.” As you know, a third film is currently in production, and we have our very first official image from “Tron: Ares!”  Jared Leto leads a cast including Gillian Anderson, Cameron Monaghan, Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Sarah Desjardins, and Jodie Turner-Smith. Joachim Ronning (“Pirates of the Caribbean“) directs from a script by Jesse Wigutow and Jack Thorne.Filming started back in January, and we’re pretty excited to see what’s in store for this film. Hard to believe “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” will be celebrating it’s 25th anniversary this year. Both because the show feels timeless, and also because it seems like only yesterday we were introduced to detectives Olivia Benson and Elliot Stabler. Of course it’s just one of many entries into Dick Wolf’s DUM-DUM universe, but it has remained one of audience’s favorites. This can probably be chalked up to the tremendous performances by series leads Mariska Hargitay (Benson) and Christopher Meloni (Stabler). We’ll admit it, we were actually kind of looking forward to this upcoming remake of “The Crow.” Mostly because Bill Skarsgård is playing the lead, and he’s always an interesting one to watch. We are very sorry to share the news that Richard Lewis has passed away. In April of 2023, Lewis revealed he had been living with Parkinson’s disease. Lewis’s publicist Jeff Abraham confirmed the news of his passing. “His wife, Joyce Lapinsky, thanks everyone for all the love, friendship and support and asks for privacy at this time,” Abraham said.Lewis cut his teeth in New York in the 1970s, making a name for himself in comedy clubs and live shows. He made numerous appearances on “The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson,” maybe not becoming a household name, but getting pretty close.…

This just in-it looks like one of the big possible mergers in Hollywood isn’t happening. This is mostly a good thing, especially considering how things at Warner Bros. Discovery have been going lately with shelving of projects just for tax breaks. In case you were unaware, rumors began circulating that WBD was looking to acquire Paramount Global and it’s assets. “Star Trek: Discovery,” the sixth series in the franchise, is coming to an end with season 5. Now usually, this is cause for alarm, because it would mean we’d be without a current Trek series on the airwaves. Two bits of news for fans of “The Crow.” That super-secret remake that was completed rather quietly finally has a release date, AND, the original 1994 Brandon Lee film is finally coming to 4K. “The Crow” reboot will star Bill Skarsgård (“It”), FKA twigs (“Honeyboy”), and Danny Huston (“Succession”). Alongside Laura Birn (“Foundation”), Sami Bouajila (“A Son”), and Jordan Bolger (“The Woman King”). We are absolutely delighted to share the news that Issa López will return to HBO with a 5th season of “True Detective.” Season 4, which starred Oscar winner Jodie Foster, Kali Reis, Fiona Shaw, John Hawkes, and Christopher Eccleston, just aired its finale last week.
