Since it was reported Roberto Orci was vacating the director’s chair on the Enterprise for Star Trek 3, (of the rebooted J.J. Abrams’ Trek universe), we’ve been anxiously awaiting the announcement of his replacement.

According to Deadline, Fast & Furious 6‘s Justin Lin is in.

He has several Fast & Furious titles under his belt, so we know Lin is comfortable with lots of action and explosions.  He is also supposedly (according to IMDB) one of the executive producers of the upcoming Highlander reboot.  Hopefully in the coming weeks, we’ll learn more about the story direction of the third installment in the new series.
