I was lucky enough to be in Hall H at SDCC this year when the first look at the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse was shown to thousands of fans.  I’ve never been a fan of Bryan Singer’s X-Men franchise as a whole, my favorite of the films being X-Men: First Class, but I remain optimistic about this one.

If you grew up in the 90’s, chances are you watched the animated X-Men show on Fox’s Saturday morning cartoon block.  It remains unparalleled in the stellar voice casting choices, and the accuracy it told the stories readers had come to know and love.  This is why I am willing to give Singer ONE MORE CHANCE to make the X-Men movie I think he’s capable of.

Today, the official trailer was released.  Check it out:

We get Psylocke, Apocalypse, and (Arc) Angel in this one, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the other casting choices of younger members of the team.  A highly stylized film set mostly in the 80’s, it looks to deliver on all the points the previous films missed the mark on.

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 27th, 2016.

Let us know what you think in the comments!

Also do not forget to try the Secret of the Booze Mystique inspired drink! Not only does it taste great it also changes color!
