Taika Waititi, one of our favorite filmmaker personalities, just said some lofty Star Wars words on Twitter. Okay, sure, they’re not WRONG but we’re sure someone somewhere in the galaxy took umbrage.

Waititi, writer / director of such notable films as What We Do in The Shadows, Thor: Ragnarok, and Hunt for the Wilder People is actually part of the upcoming first live-action Star Wars television series headed to Disney+, The Mandalorian. Taika will be directing at least one episode (that we know of), and may even be lending his voice to a certain bounty hunter droid.

    On to his tweet-

Darth Vader was the Emperor’s bitch. There, I said it. Don’t @ me.

Again, he’s not WRONG, but, we all saw how Darth dealt with The Emperor at the tail end of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.

Maybe this is an angle we’ll see reflected in his episode of The Mandalorian, but only time will tell.
