While the director’s chair has changed hands more than once for the upcoming Warner Brothers film Wonder Woman, the cameras have finally started rolling on the Patty Jenkins helmed epic tale of Princess Diana of Themyscira.

Things we know for sure at this point: Chris Pine is definitely playing Steve Trevor, the ongoing love interest for Wonder Woman from the comics.  I’m actually looking forward to seeing what they do between Pine and Gal Gadot, the chemistry could be the entertaining thing.  Also, if you look behind Wonder Woman in the above official image, you can see what looks like Big Ben at Westminster in London. This is interesting when you see the image actor Saïd Taghmaoui had tweeted (which has since been deleted from all of his social media accounts) of himself and Chris Pine from the assumed set of Wonder Woman.

Sure looks like some WWII era outfits there, considering the USAF pilot Trevor character first appeared in the Wonder Woman comics in 1941, I think we can safely assume there will be a first meeting flashback of some kind.

The cast list (thus far) also includes Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Elena Anaya, and Lucy Davis. No role are listed for any of the actors besides Gadot and Pine

Wonder Woman is set to open on June 23rd, 2017.
