“Wonder Woman”: Chris Pine As Steve Trevor?

Wonder Woman has had it’s fair share of trouble since first being announced by Warner Brothers Pictures almost two full years ago.  They recently lost their attached director Michelle MacLaren amidst rumors of possible ‘differences of artistic visions’, but have found a replacement in Patty Jenkins (Monster, The Killing).

In a move that would perhaps up the interest for the first female superhero fronted movie since 1984, it would appear Warner Brothers is looking to the heavens for a savior, and he’s captain of a starship.

Variety is reporting that Chris Pine is currently in talks with WB to star alongside Gal Gadot, taking on the role of USAF pilot (and future love interest for WW) Steve Trevor.  As of yet, WB has no comment on the matter.   We’ll let you know the moment this news is confirmed.

Wonder Woman is set to open sometime in 2017, with production set to start at the end of this year.
