We have some very exciting news for you Wheel of Time fans! Not only are we getting that live action tv series adaptation from Amazon Prime Video, but we’re ALSO getting a freaking feature film trilogy! Also, we know who’s penning the script, and it’s cause for celebration!

Zack Stentz (“X-Men: First Class,” “The Flash,”) will be writing the first entry in the series, “Age of Legends.” Obviously as you can tell from the title, this story will be taking place several thousands of years before the main “Wheel of Time” book series timeline.

“I’ve been a fan of Robert Jordan’s work for many years, and it is especially his allusions to the origins and backstory of The Wheel of Time that I have always found most intriguing. I’m excited to be bringing this era Robert Jordan conceptualized to life,” said Stentz in a statement.

And yes I said "world" twice by accident. Sorry, the dogs woke me up early…

Rick Selvage and Larry Mondragon of iwot productions and Ted Field and Justin Smith of Radar Pictures are producing.

At present, not studio is attached to the film, but we’ll let you know what we hear.

Amazon Prime Video’s “Wheel of Time” will premiere sometime later this year.
