The John Hughes classic brat pack coming of age high school film The Breakfast Club is getting the Criterion treatment. The Collection’s Blu-ray edition includes 50 minutes of goodies including a never-before-seen deleted scene between Claire (Molly Ringwald), and Allison (Ally Sheedy).

    Check it out:

Released in 1985, The Breakfast Club was Hugh’s second outing as a director, following Sixteen Candles and preceding European Vacation.  It still resonates today, a film anthem for the unpopular, for the weirdos.

The Breakfast Club 4K digital restoration also includes audio commentary tracks, interviews with the cast members (Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, Ringwald and Sheedy), a video diary by Hughes, and a 2008 documentary about the film.

The 4k released on January 2nd and is available at Best Buy and on Amazon.
