If one of your holiday staple films series happens to star Tim Allen, have we got some good news for you! “The Santa Clause,” trilogy of films about Scott Calvin inadvertently becoming Santa Claus, is getting a sequel series on Disney+. And, as we know now, Allen will return to star! Hopefully this means David Krumholtz will return as Bernard, too.

It’s clause for celebration! 🎅🏻 Tim Allen will reprise his role as Scott Calvin from “The Santa Clause” in a new Original limited series coming soon to #DisneyPlus. pic.twitter.com/f04e3lAFVv

Reports indicate Disney+ is calling the project “The Last Clause” for now. Jack Burditt will serve as executive producer and showrunner on the limited series. Burditt is actually the creator of Allen’s sitcom “Last Man Standing,” and will reunite on this project with writer-executive producer Kevin Hench.

In a way, the addition of Allen is…strange, to say the least. The House of Mouse had all but severed ties with the actor.

Production is said to kick off in March.

We’ll let you know what else we hear about this and other news.
