“The Crown” Final Season Gets Teaser, Release Date

We are both delighted and saddened to share the news of Netflix’s “The Crown” final season release date. Coming in two parts, Season 6 will conclude the dramatic take on the royal House of Windsor. The British monarchy has been one of the few remaining in the modern world, and has made for consistent inspiration for the award-winning show.

Season 6 will have two parts. The first will deal with the untimely death of Princess Diana. There has been a lot of talk about how the production approached this particular story element. Words like “delicacy” and “respect” have been mentioned.

The second part will dive into the modern royals- the wedding of Princess Kate and Prince William chief among them.

A relationship blossoms between Princess Diana and Dodi Fayed before a fateful car journey has devastating consequences.

Prince William tries to integrate back into life at Eton in the wake of his mother’s death as the monarchy has to ride the wave of public opinion. As she reaches her Golden Jubilee, the Queen reflects on the future of the monarchy with the marriage of Charles and Camilla and the beginnings of a new Royal fairytale in William and Kate.

The cast for season 6 includes Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Dominic West as Prince Charles, Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana, Claudia Harrison as Princess Anne, Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker Bowles, Bertie Carvel as Tony Blair, Salim Daw as Mohamed Al Fayed, and Khalid Abdalla as Dodi Fayed.

Newcomers include Rufus Kampa as Prince William, and Flyn Edwards as Prince Harry in part one. Ed McVey will take over as Prince William, Luther Ford as Prince Harry, and Meg Bellamy will play Kate Middleton in part two.

“The Crown” season 6 part 1, which is four episodes, will premiere November 16th, 2023. Part 2, which is six episodes, will follow on December 14th, 2023.
