    SyFy’s “12 Monkeys” First Trailer

    I loved 1995’s Twelve Monkeys, and when it was announced that SyFy channel was going to be turning it into a tv show, I was actually excited.  For me, it’s like the notion of Stargate, a fascinating film/premise with potential to tell more stories and delve further into the rich worlds created.

    The 12-episode series, based on the 1995 film of the same name, follows a time traveler (Stanford) who arrives from the post-apocalyptic future to prevent a deadly virus from destroying all human life. If he succeeds, he’ll also be a goner.  12 Monkeys — which is slated to debut in January 2015 — also features Amanda Schull (Suits), Noah Bean (Nikita), Kirk Acevedo (Fringe) and Zeljko Ivanek (True Blood, Revolution).

    Mary Anne Butler (Mab) got her start in album reviews and live concert coverage for a nationally published (print) music magazine as a teenager.
