    It’s a bird, it’s a plane, IT’S RICHARD DONNER’S 1978 SUPERMAN finally being released on 4K!

Superman (1978) Is FINALLY Getting a 4K Release

We’ve been waiting FOREVER to see Christopher Reeve‘s friend from another star in 4K, and it’s finally happening this year.

The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc of Superman will feature Dolby VisionTM HDR, which expands the color palette and contrast range by uses dynamic metadata to automatically optimize the picture for every screen, frame by frame. The 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc of Superman will also feature a Dolby Atmos® soundtrack (5.1 audio mixed from the original 1978 6-track 70mm) remixed specifically for the home theater environment to place and move audio anywhere in the room, including overhead.

We cannot recommend home Dolby enough! It really makes a difference with the high-end 4K releases, like that Christopher Nolan box set[easyazon_link identifier=”B077MYFX8K” locale=”US” tag=”bleedingcoo07-20″]Christopher Nolan 4K Collection (4K Ultra HD) [Blu-ray][/easyazon_link].
