    “Suicide Squad”: Tom Hardy No Longer Involved

    Announced back in December, the official cast for the upcoming David Ayer Suicide Squad movie has now changed.  Namely, the departure of Tom Hardy, who was on board to play Rick Flag, the leader of the team.

    This story comes from The Hollywood Reporter, who comment Hardy’s parting ways with the film isn’t immediately clear. Sources report Hardy’s involvement in Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s drama The Revenant, whose shoot appears to be running longer than planned, is more than likely the reason for the casting change.

    Reports say that Jake Gyllenhaal is being eyed for a replacement.
