It is the Golden Age of television superhero offerings, The CW is leading the way with Arrow‘s Stephen Amell at the head of the charge.  Amell plays Oliver Queen, aka The Green Arrow, (one of the early members of DC Comics’ Justice League) and the linchpin of the Arrowverse / Berlantiverse of shows.

We know from recent news that we’re getting another notable comics character joining the roster of the already impressive lineup of leading heroes- Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash, Black Lightning, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow – the one and only Batwoman.

It was revealed earlier this month that Australian actress/musician/model Ruby Rose will be portraying the openly gay character in an upcoming addition to The CW’s line up, something Rose called a “childhood dream”.

She’s of course not the only new character coming to the vast Arrowverse, but we’re thinking maybe she’s who Stephen Amell is talking about in his tweet:

Watching someone try on a superhero suit for the first time never gets old.

That’s a pretty special moment we have to imagine, seeing a fellow actor who’s grown up with the likes of Batman and Superman on the silver screen getting their moment in the cape and cowl (again, just guessing here). Hopefully, we’ll know who Amell means soon enough.

The Flash is set to return on October 9th at 8pm, with Black Lightning season 2 premiering at 9pm the same night. Supergirl will premiere on Sunday October 14th, Arrow on Monday October 15th, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow on Monday October 22nd.

No word on when we’ll be seeing Batwoman though.
