STARZ had a hefty presence during this year’s New York Comic-Con (NYCC), and ahead of their Saturday evening Outlander panel, the opening sequence for season 4 was released.

STARZ Releases Outlander Season 4 Opening Sequence

As with the previous seasons, Emmy winning composer Bear McCreary has updated the title song of “The Skye Boat Song” to reflect the time period and style of the season. In season 1, it was bagpipes and bohdrans, season 2 was harpsichords (very French, after all), season 3 had drums of the Caribbean isles, and season 4 has a decidedly Americana twist with banjos and a group of voices joining together to bring the early [pre] American experience to audiences.

    Check it out:

We’ll have more Outlander goodies to share with you Sassenachs after tonight’s NYCC panel at Madison Square Garden.

Season 4 of Outlander is set to premiere on STARZ on November 4th.
