We’d already known that the next calling together of the Lucas faithful would be happening sometime in 2020, as well as that it would be returning back to the Anaheim Convention Center, but now they’ve finally announced their dates to go along with it.

While this year had been in April, next year’s will go back towards the Fall, to be over the weekend of August 27th-30th. As a note, while the strange choice had been made in 2019 to run through the Monday after the weekend, the 2020 dates fall into a more traditional Sunday being the last day for the event.

This will introduce a challenge for those thousands who also attend the annual Dragon Con convention in Atlanta, Georgia, as Celebration 2020 will now be exactly one week prior to DC, forcing many to have to choose between two of their favorite conventions of the year.

Tickets will go on sale starting on June 21st at 9 a.m. PST via the event’s website at StarWarsCelebration.com.

Between now and then will see the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, (or just shortened to IX), which is purported to be the culmination of the original 9-film Skywalker saga. The Rise of Skywalker will release on December 20th, 2019.
