It would appear the galaxy far far away’s most famous/notorious bounty hunter may not slowly being digested for a thousand years in the Pit of Sarlacc on Tatooine.

It’s so quick, you may actually miss it, but the screencap shows who appears to be none other than Boba Fett, alive and well, at the battle of Jakku.

Reportedly, “Battlefront” will depict “the pivotal moment when the New Republic confronted key Imperial holdouts on a remote desert planet on the Outer Rim [and takes place] in the aftermath of the Rebel victory in the Battle of Endor”.   Well I sure think that looks like Boba Fett emerging at the center of the screen, and if you look at the top right you’ll notice what appears to be a Super Star Destroyer crashing to the ground.  Because that would totally explain why it’s laying there in the sand of Jakku in the latest Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer, right?

LucasFilm (now owned by Disney) has stated numerous times that Star Wars: Battlefront is canon, after they tossed out somewhere around 20+ years of the EU.  The thing to take away from this statement is *IF* this game has experiences fans will see in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, this means Boba Fett isn’t dead. But there’s been debate over whether the screenshot from the game trailer is Jakku or Tatooine.  (We’re going the direction of it being Jakku, though.)

Here is the trailer for the upcoming release from DICE:

What do you guys think? Is our Mando still out there hunting for his ultimate bounty?
