Ryan Reynolds Teases Deadpool on Instagram Stories

We’re not sure WHAT exactly Canadian treasure Ryan Reynolds is teasing with his blink-and-you’ll-miss-it Instagram story today, but it appears to be something Deadpool related. We know there are still plans for a third installment in the Marvel Comics’ antihero saga, with Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige confirming (more than once) the intention to continue the series following the Disney purchase of Fox.

There’s been talk about how exactly the Merc with a Mouth may get incorporated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The most prevalent fan theory? Having Deadpool take over Stan Lee‘s iconic cameos.

Anyhow, Reynolds posted this image of a Deadpool mask in a go-bag, from what looks like a pretty swank hotel. There’s also an envelope pictured, but we can’t make out what it says.

Obviously, this could just be Reynolds trolling fans again.

Last we heard,  Lizzie Molyneux-Loeglin and Wendy Molyneux are penning the script for “Deadpool 3.” Back in January, Feige said:

“It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan’s overseeing a script right now… It will not be [filming] this year. Ryan is a very busy, very successful actor. We’ve got a number of things we’ve already announced that we now have to make, but it’s exciting for it to have begun. Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life.”

We’ll do our best to keep you updated on this and other film news.
