Rumor Du Jour: George Miller and “Man Of Steel 2”

Ok then.  This may be the rumor that brings my interest back to the DC Movie universe.  Sorry, but I’m not a Batfleck supporter, no matter how much I love Henry Cavill as Superman, I just can’t get behind Affleck OR frickin’ Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

The newest mumblings from Metropolis has to do with the forthcoming Man Of Steel sequel, and the director of dystopian masterpieces possibly taking the chair…..Mr. Mad Max creator himself, George Miller.

During this interview at the 55:22 mark in the video, the host prompts Schnepp into revealing that Fury Road director MAY BE directing the “Man of Steel” sequel:

“Yeah, George Miller,” Schnepp responded immediately. “He’s doing Man of Steel 2.”

Schnepp goes on to say “I don’t feel weird about breaking it,” he continued. “Obviously Zack Snyder is doing Justice League one and two. We’ve already got James Wan doing Aquaman… I think Miller is a perfect choice to do Man of Steel 2. He’s going to bring so much to it.”

If you’re a fan of Miller’s, you know he had previously planned to revisit the Batman universe after the Kilmer/Clooney area and before Nolanverse happened.  He ALSO had plans to do both a Wonder Woman film, AND Kingdom Come.  So, if this rumor is true, we’d get a director who’s had a vision for at least 10+ years for his heroes (both male and female).
