    This just in-

sounds like Sony and Amazon have a new direction for their upcoming “God of War” live-action series. Based on the HUGELY popular and multi award-winning franchise from Santa Monica Studio, this adaptation was officially announced back in December of 2022. Since then, there have been some shakeups, such as showrunner and head writer Rafe Judkins (“Wheel of Time“) leaving the project. this past week.

Reports indicate this parting of ways was NOT Judkins’ decision, and happened after numerous submitted drafts failed to strike the “God of War” note Sony was looking for.

That’s what brings us to today’s INCREDIBLY exciting news- Ronald D. Moore (“Battlestar Galactica,” “For All Mankind“) is stepping into the role of showrunner, head writer, and executive producer for the show.

Yes, Cory Barlog will still be involved as an executive producer.

Details are light so far, but as soon as we hear more, we’ll let you know. Deadline first reported the news.
