We are VERY excited to share the news that “Nosferatu” helmer Robert Eggers has announced his followup project. It’s another classic and iconic monster, a creature of the night. No, not another vampire. Instead, this project will be called “WEREWULF.”
Eggers wrote the script along with his “The Northman” collaborator, Icelandic poet Sjón. It will reportedly take place in 13th century England, with dialogue true to the time period. And, we’re guessing, will center around werewolves.
No word on casting yet, but “WEREWULF” was originally imagined to be another black and white film from “The Lighthouse” director. It currently has a release date of December 25th, 2026 from Focus Features.
We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.
