It would appear those Replicant rumors are true, and Ridley Scott is indeed developing another live-action “Blade Runner” project. Touted as “Blade Runner 2099,” this series is currently sitting at Amazon.

Sources indicate Scott will executive produce, with Silka Luisa writing and also executive producing. It’ll come from Scott Free Productions in association with Alcon Entertainment and Amazon Studios.

The filmmaker had claimed to be in process on a script in 2021, so we’re assuming this is the same project.

“Blade Runner 2099” is believed to follow in the storyline footsteps of “Blade Runner 2049,” which was directed by Denis Villeneuve. Thats…sort of all we know for sure at this time.

We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.
