    Report: Zendaya May be Chani in Legendary’s ‘Dune’

    It would appear that the role of Chani in Denis Villeneuve‘s upcoming Dune adaptation for Legendary Pictures may be filled.

    According to our friends over at Collider, “multiple sources” have confirmed to them that Zendaya is being eyed for the role of the young Fremen warrior who catches the eye of Paul Atreides.

    Zendaya is a multi-talented performer- she sings, dances, acts. Perhaps you’ll recall seeing her in The Greatest Showman as the purple-haired arialist, or in Spider-Man: Homecoming as Michelle Jones (you know, MJ, but not MJ).

    Chani is a very important role in the world of Frank Herbert‘s seminal science fiction classic- we won’t go into too many details about her position in case you HAVEN’T READ THE BOOK. Just take our word for it, she’s important.
