    Report: Shortlist of Frontrunners for “Batgirl” Lead Revealed

    According to Deadline, who claims exclusive knowledge of such things, a short list of those being seriously considered for the role of Barbara Gordon in a live action “Batgirl” film project has been revealed. As usual, take this with a grain of bat-salt because there is every possibility none of these actors will end up in the role.

    Isabela Merced (“Dora The Explorer“), Zoey Deutch (“Zombieland: Double Tap“), and singer/songwriter Leslie Grace (“In The Heights“) are reportedly being eyed by Warner Bros., with Haley Lu Richardson (“Columbus“) also mentioned. As the report claims, these actors are theoretically already at the screen test level.

    This “Batgirl” film project will be an exclusive for HBO Max.

    Last we reported, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah will be directing from a script by Christina Hodson.
