tumblr_m1rio218G31r9h4heo1_1280That headline might be a little harsh, but it would appear Gethin Anthony who played Game Of Thrones character Renly Baratheon is going to be playing the enigmatic cult leader Charles Manson.  Yep, Charles.  Manson.  Looks like NBC is continuing down this path of dark things after their success with Hannibal baised on the gentleman serial killer book series by Thomas Harris, and their upcoming series Constantine about the Devil battling chain smoker from DC Comics Hellblazer series.

Aquarius  is being set up as a 13-episode miniseries and stars David Duchovny as an undercover cop who goes after a budding cult leader—Manson—and his “family”.

NBC’s official Aquarius website lists no premiere date, merely saying it’s “coming soon.
