[Literally] right on the heels of the news that David Harbour is joining Marvel Studios upcoming Black Widow solo film- word that Oscar nominee Rachel Weisz is considering a role too.

According to Variety, The Favorite favorite (sorry, couldn’t resist) is apparently “in talks” for the Cate Shortland-directed film.

Black Widow will be only the second female solo superhero film from Marvel Studios. The first, Captain Marvel, just passed the $1 billion box office milestone earlier this week.

Scarlett Johansson is expected to return to the title role of Natasha Romanoff, former Soviet spy and key member of the Avengers.

We’ll let you know if this latest casting rumor gets confirmed/denied by Disney and Marvel Studios.
