The “official” Power Rangers reboot instagram posted this earlier today, telling us the Pink Ranger, Kimberly Hart, has been cast for the upcoming film.

Naomi Scott (The Martian, Terra Nova) doesn’t have the longest list of credits, but that will more than likely work in her favor since this is reported to be a reimagining of the Power Rangers story.

Haim Saban, the creator of the hugely popular Power Rangers franchises will produce the film that follows the group of teenagers who must harness their unique superpowers and use those powers as a color-coordinated team in order to save the world.  Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz (Thor, X-Men First Class) have already written the script, and  Dean Israelite will be directing.
