Nothing says Easter like a….frog? It would appear that one of the finalists for the current worldwide search for the next Cadbury Bunny hails from Florida, and happens to be a toad.

Meet Betty, a 1-year-old Australian White Tree Frog, who managed to be one of 10 finalists for the search.

Kaitlyn Vidal, Betty’s owner, says she got Betty last year from a local pet store “because we noticed they didn’t have her in the proper living conditions.” That’s both terrible and wonderful at the same time.

“We already had two other white’s tree frogs and plenty of space for more, so we decided to ‘rescue’ her,” Vidal told FOX 35 News. “She is a very funny frog! Out of all our frogs (we have four now), she is the one in charge.”

While voting is closed, we’re anxiously awaiting to find out who wins. Cadbury says they’ll have the announcement ready by March 23rd, 2021. You can see the full gallery of hopefuls on their official website here.
