We are so sad to share the news that one of our favorite TV host personalities, Padma Lakshmi, will no longer be hosting culinary competition series, “Top Chef.” The hit show is right towards the end of their 20th season, and have already been renewed for season 21. Lakshmi, who is an accomplished author as well as mother and model, has been with the program for 17 years.

Her program for Hulu, “Taste the Nation,” just returned for its second season to much international critical acclaim. Lakshmi was also named one of TIME magazine’s 100 most influential people.

We’ll let you know what we hear about a possible replacement, and what Lakshmi plans to do next. Thank you for everything, Padma. You may pack your knives and go.

Over the past 15 years, she’s built a well-known reputation at conventions across the globe as a cosplayer (occasionally), photographer (constantly), panelist and moderator (mostly), and reporter (always). Interviews, reviews, observations, breaking news, and objective reporting are the name of the game for the founder of Harkonnen Knife Fight, a Dune-themed band. She also produces award-winning immersive events, including Wasteland Weekend and Neotropolis.
