Earlier this morning, the official account for the George Miller-created “Mad Max” franchise teased…something. We know there’s at least one film on the horizon- “Furiosa.” This could just be confirmation that filming is still on track to kick off soon.

It could also maybe be an update on that mysterious “Mad Max: Fury Road” auction from last year. You know, the one that had pretty much EVERY vehicle from the groundbreaking 2015 film included that we can’t find ANY evidence of sales.

We know that Anya Taylor-Joy will star as Furiosa in the film, and that she’ll be joined by Chris Hemsworth, and Tom Burke (who replaced Yahya Abdul-Mateen II). Miller will direct.

Jenny Beaven, who won an Oscar for her incredible costume work on “Fury Road” (and most recently did “Cruella” for Disney) has confirmed she’ll be designing. Tom Holkenborg, aka JunkieXL, will also be returning to the “Mad Max” family to score “Furiosa.”

At present, the film has a likely release date of “sometime in 2024.” We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news from the Wasteland.
