    New ‘Joker’ Poster Urges to “Put On A Happy Face”

    While we’re waiting for a new teaser trailer for Todd Phillips‘ upcoming Joker origin film (coming on April 3rd), how about a better look at the poster he shared this morning?

    Featuring three time Oscar nominee Joaquin Phoenix in the iconic DC Comics role, the poster has an interesting (and completely appropriate) tagline of “put on a happy face”:

    Joker centers around the iconic arch-nemesis and is an original, standalone story not seen before on the big screen. The exploration of Arthur Fleck, a man disregarded by society, is not only a gritty character study, but also a broader cautionary tale.

    Todd Phillips is directing, Phoenix stars as the Joker, and is joined in the film by Robert De Niro, Zazie Beetz, Bill Camp, Frances Conroy, Brett Cullen, Glenn Fleshler, Douglas Hodge, Marc Maron, Josh Pais, and Shea Whigham.

    Joker will hit theaters on October 4th.
