Season 1 of Netflix’s upcoming live-action The Witcher series has officially wrapped, and we are suuuuuper curious to see how everything turned out!

Netflix Series 'The Witcher' Officially Wraps on Season 1

Star Henry Cavill, who will be playing Geralt of Rivia in the series, said in an Instagram post shared this morning:

Season 1 of The Witcher has finally come to an end. And although I’m pulling a face here it has been an incredible journey! The cast and crew worked tirelessly throughout, everyone pitched in and brought their A game to set and I couldn’t be more proud of you all.
Speaking of my immediate team. Jacqui, Ailbhe and Leah are consummate professionals who worked extraordinary hours to bring the Witcher to life, they were non stop improving adjusting and evolving Geralt throughout. Thank you ladies for making this journey a good one. All of those 3 am wake ups were worth it!

The official Netflix Whats Next Twitter account confirmed that this wrap was on production as a whole, and not just filming, which means a first look teaser shouldn’t be that far away.

The Witcher has just officially wrapped. So great that Henry Cavill is free to hunt monsters on his own time now. https://t.co/NA5YXPnujG

Other known cast members (so far) include Jodhi May (Game of Thrones) as Queen Calanthe, Bjorn Hlynur Haraldsson (Fortitude) as her husband the knight Eist, Adam Levy (Knightfall) as the druid Mousesack, MyAnna Buring as the head of the magical academy at Aretuza Tissaia, Mimi Ndiweni and Therica Wilson-Read as novice sorcerers, and Millie Brady as the outcast Princess Renfri.

Netflix CCO Ted Sarandos said the show is likely to bow on the streaming service giant sometime in the fall of 2019. We will of course let you know what we hear about The Witcher.
