“My Hero Academia” Live-Action Gets Promising Update

we knew Netflix was planning a live-action adaptation of the VERY popular anime and manga series, “My Hero Academia.” We also knew it was going to be a film, rather than a straight series redo. Well, according to “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” producer Joby Harold, things are moving ahead, with production possibly ALREADY underway!

When asked if the project, which Harold is listed as a writer on, was still happening, he responded with a very clear “Yes, it is. Absolutely. It is something I’m working on and loving working on. I’m excited to do it and get it out there. It’s a big one.”

Collider also asked him if it was ‘something he was actively working on,’ and he responded with a simple “yeah.”

Needless to say, this is exciting news for fans of the series. Obviously we’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news. The next big animated-to-live-action adaptation coming from Netflix is “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” which should be out February 22nd, 2024.
