“Mockingjay Pt 2”: Brand New ‘Hunger Games’ Trailer

Imagine you are in a room full of 7,000 screaming fans who have been waiting for a particular moment for the better part of 6 years.  The lights go down in the hall, and drums start.  Not just drums, but the highly technical pattern of a military drum cadence.  It starts on the stage, and as you start to get comfortable with this show of force, lines of drummers make their way through the isles of screaming fans.  That was Hall H during the Lionsgate Pictures presentation at San Diego Comic Con.

Specifically, it was for the Hunger Games’ final chapter, Mocking Jay Pt 2.  You can watch the full SDCC 2015 panel here thanks to Flicks In The City on Youtube. The opening drums were seriously amazing, even if you aren’t a fan of the series.  You cannot deny how unnerving the amount of good drummers surging the stage was.

But we’re here to talk about the newest trailer for the final film in the series.  Which we have here:

If you know the book series, you know the third book (which has been split into two films) contains some really difficult material. More people die, people we don’t expect to die, thanks to President Snow and his final grasping effort to quell the resistance as they infiltrate the Capitol. We can only hope the filmmakers don’t do a disservice to fans by holding back.
