It’s been four years since the galaxy lost of the great heroes, Carrie Fisher. Rebel, Princess, writer, General, advocate, mother- she was all these things and more. Her presence is still felt, even moreso than her absence at times.

This morning, fellow “Star Wars” icon Ming-Na Wen shared the most perfect Carrie Fisher convention story, complete with photos, and we can’t help but love both of them even more.

Ming Na Wen as “The Mandalorian” character Fennic Shand

    Wen writes:

I am forever thankful to Dallas Comic Con 2015 for putting my signing booth next to Carrie Fisher. When she arrived, I was so excited I announced her. I bowed down to her, my queen!!!

It was May 30, 2015. The waiting fans cheered loudly. She responded by fist-pumping into the air. Then she turned to me and gave me the finger. ??

#CarrieFisher just flipped me off!!!! What an honor! Her famous middle finger! ??

I fell more in love with her at that moment.?❤️❤️❤️

I asked her if she could give me the bird again so I could record it. She did. Then to my surprise, she walked over and started singing to me. I told her how much I loved her. Princess Leia was my hero. She corrected me. “Heroine.”

I told her that I cosplayed Princess Leia for my 50th bday party. She asked me how old I was now. I told her. 52. She seemed a bit baffled and slightly peeved. That’s when she began unbuttoning my shirt. In front of the whole crowd.

Now I was baffled. And laughing my ass off. WHAT IS HAPPENING?!!!

Carrie then stomped her feet and turned to the audience. She shouted incredulously, “SHE’s 52?!!” Thanks, Carrie. Now everyone knows. ? I am still smiling remembering that precious day.

So it breaks my heart even harder now that I’m working in the world of @starwars. I can only imagine how much more fun antics she would’ve had with me. And I would’ve welcomed them all. And sharing all the naughty innuendoes. ??

Remembering this beautiful, incredible lady. Talk about a woman warrior. She was an original. One of a kind. I’m sure she’s giving us all the bird from up there as we pay tribute to her today. ????????????

I miss her very, very much.
    ?❤️?

May the Force Be With You, Carrie Fisher. Thank you. ❤️?
