What is spooky season without a new take on a classic Edgar Allan Poe tale? Resident Stephen King adaptation master Mike Flanagan has just the thing for 2023- a sleek modern take on “The Fall of the House of Usher.” While not as well-known as other Poe tales, it’s one you should definitely check out.

The story is fairy simple- Ruthless siblings Roderick (Bruce Greenwood) and Madeline Usher (Mary McDonnell) have built Fortunato Pharmaceuticals into an empire of wealth, privilege and power. But past secrets come to light when the heirs to the Usher dynasty start dying at the hands of a mysterious woman from their youth.
