    Kirstie Alley, “Cheers” Star, has Passed Away

    We are very sorry to share the news that Emmy winning actress Kirstie Alley has passed away. Probably best known for her role as Rebecca on the ever popular “Cheers,” Alley was a mainstay across comedy and television for decades.

    Her family confirmed her passing with a statement posted to Alley’s various social media accounts.

    While “Cheers” was a very popular series, many would recognize Alley best for her role in “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.” She played Saavik, a Vulcan protégée of Spock. The part was later recast, but Alley’s performance is outstanding.

    She was 71.
