Back in June of 2021, news spread far and wide that cameras were rolling on a 5th “Indiana Jones” film. James Mangold (“Logan,” “Ford vs Ferarri“) directs from a script by Jez Butterworth and John-Henry Butterworth. Originally, franchise launcher and auteur Steven Spielberg was on board to direct, but opted to head “West Side Story” instead.

The one and only Harrison Ford is back as the most popular archaeology professor from Marshall College. He’ll be joined in this outing by  Mads Mikkelsen, Phoebe Waller Bridge, Antonio Banderas, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renée Wilson, and Thomas Kretschmann

Two tweets, one from Mangold, one from legendary producer Frank Marshall, have confirmed principal filming has wrapped.

Details about possible historical macguffins have been kept tightly wrapped.

According to a recently revealed slate of Disney’s release dates, “Indiana Jones 5” is set to hit theaters on June 23rd, 2023. We’ll let you know what we hear about this and other news.

Fortune and glory, kid. Fortune and glory.
