Happy 45th Birthday, Sesame Street!

It’s hard to believe Big Bird and the gang have been with us for almost half a century.  First airing on November 10, 1969, Sesame Street has been a television phenomenon.  Responsible for helping teach a generation how to read, knowing their numbers, shapes, colors, and accepting all types (even monsters!), there was nothing else like it then or now.  In searching the youtube archives, I was reminded of the decades of celebrity guests and musical numbers, many of which I can still recall the words to.  Heartbreaking to see how many greats we’ve lost during those years, but I’m so so thankful we have these records of them.
