    While we don’t get Godzilla: King of the Monsters til May of 2019, Legendary Pictures just started production on the followup film, Godzilla vs. Kong.

    'Godzilla Vs. Kong' Production Begins Today, Says Legendary Pictures

    The studio tweeted this image (from King of the Monsters) today, as well as the announcement that production has begun on the true clash of the titans:

    While they don’t share a specific release date for the feature, it looks like Summer of 2020 is the targeted theatrical bow.

    We’ll keep you updated as we hear more about Godzilla vs. Kong, and boyhowdy are we looking forward to King of the Monsters next year.
