While yes, it’s highly unlikely any movie trailer could beat the new world record of views on youtube, we’re kind of hoping Godzilla: King of the Monsters comes close. Considering how amazingly beautiful and compelling the San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) glimpse of the film was in the first trailer, our expectations are high.

Perhaps you’ll recall that Godzilla: King of the Monsters director Mike Doughtery confirmed that a new trailer would be coming at some point following Brazil Comic Con (CCXP), and it looks like that’ll be sometime tomorrow.

This was also backed up just now on the official Godzilla film Twitter account, with a brand new poster:

We do know a little about the trailer shown at CCXP from Collider’s EiC:

the new #GodzillaKingOfTheMonsters trailer has humanity wondering which of these creatures are here to hurt us and which are here to protect us. Ken Watanabe mentions we would be lucky if humanity is Godzilla’s pet. #CCXP2018 pic.twitter.com/bjGXoCQZHF

Legendary has described King of the Monsters as:

Members of the crypto-zoological agency Monarch face off against a battery of god-sized monsters, including the mighty Godzilla, who collides with Mothra, Rodan, and his ultimate nemesis, the three-headed King Ghidorah. When these ancient super-species-thought to be mere myths-rise again, they all vie for supremacy, leaving humanity’s very existence hanging in the balance.

Godzilla: King of the Monsters will roar into theaters on May 31st, 2019.
