We’ve been waiting to hear about this proposed “all female” Ghostbusters franchise reboot.  It’s been tossed back and forth for the better part of six months, with just about every leading lady comedianne rumored for one of the four main roles.  It looks like director Paul Fieg has set his sights on several Saturday Night Live alums to don the khaki coveralls.

Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon are our new Ghostbusters.  The Hollywood Reporter states the negotiations are still “ongoing”, with the contracts yet to be signed, but all current talks seem to edge towards the “done deal” collum.

We’ll let you know as more details come out.

UPDATE:  Director Paul Feig tweeted the official release date for the film:

In other news, #Ghostbusters will be hitting theaters July 22, 2016. Save the date!
