    “Gambit”: Channing Tatum Leaves Project?

    This story just hit a few minutes ago, so bare with us as we get concrete sources.  It would appear, after he joined the cast for the various Fox-housed X-Men films, Channing Tatum is no longer playing the Ragin’ Cajun.

    According to The Wrap, someone close to the project told them that Tatum’s reps are still in active discussions with the studio but acknowledged that “something is up.” The situation will have to be resolved quickly, as Gambit is slated for release on Oct. 7, 2016.

    No comment yet from Tatum or Fox.  We’ll let you know as this story progresses.
