It’s been 25 years since the last time a “Mortal Kombat” film kicked its way into theaters. But thanks to HBO Max, we’ve got our first look at the upcoming reboot film coming from Warner Bros. Pictures.

One of the most exciting parts? It’s gonna have an R rating!

Simon McQuoid is directing “Mortal Kombat,” James Wan and Todd Garner are producing.

The film stars Ludi Lin (“Black Mirror“) as Liu Kang, Jessica McNamee (“The Meg“) as Sonya Blade, Joe Taslim (“Warrior“) as Sub-Zero, Hiroyuki Sanada (“Westworld“) as Scorpion, Mehcad Brooks (“Supergirl“) as Jax, Mel Jarnson as Nitara, Sisi Stringer as Mileena, Lewis Tan (“Wu Assassins,” “Into the Badlands“) as Cole Young, stuntman Max Huang as Kung Lao, Josh Lawson (“Superstore“) as Kano, Chin Han (“Marco Polo“) as Shang Tsung, and Asano Tadanobu (“47 Ronin“) as Raiden.

“Mortal Kombat” is set to hit HBO Max on April 16th, 2021.
