After what feels like forever, we’ve got our first look at the new cast joining season 2 of “The Wheel of Time.” Most notable among the teases from New York Comic Con (NYCC)’s panel was the first look at nu-Mat Cauthon, and Elayne Trakand.

If those names don’t mean anything to do, it’s ok. But for fans of the series, these are big deals. The character of Mat went through a recast between seasons 1 and 2, with original actor Barney Harris being replaced with Dónal Finn.

BUT THEN, Amazon Prime Video ALSO released a sneak peak of Princess Elyane Trakand, played by Ceara Coveney.

Ok but then there are some OTHER things in the teaser shown that has us interested. Things like…the Seanchan. And Egwene in the collar. And and and other things.

Season 1 of “The Wheel of Time” is available to stream on Amazon Prime now. Season 2 will hopefully get an official release date soon.
