Across the Universe is one of those special musical films that speaks to all generations, just like The Beatles music it’s built around. Director Julie Taymor‘s beautiful ode to the ’60s and all things John, Paul, George, and Ringo is coming back to theaters this summer thanks to Fathom Events.

More than 450 theaters are set to carry the film across three nights — July 29th, July 31st, and August 1st in select AMC, Cinemark, and Regal movie theater chains.

The 2007 film stars Evan Rachel Wood, Jim Sturgess, Joe Anderson, Dana Fuchs, Martin Luther, and T.V. Carpio as the main core of characters Lucy, Jude, Max, Sadie, Jo-Jo, and Prudence.  Special guest stars include Bono and Eddie Izzard, both performing classic Beatles tracks to incredible visuals.

Across the Universe has both a standard and a deluxe soundtrack available too, and it gives you a good idea of what type of film you’re getting into if you’ve never seen it. It traverses the rich discography of The Beatles with faithful versions and some new takes.
